Lynwood Shopping Centre Parking Assessment (Ottawa, ON)


Castleglenn Consultants Inc. was retained by the Regional Group to examine parking characteristics associated with the Lynwood Centre and to determine the availability of the existing parking supply to accommodate additional development. The Lynwood Centre is a commercial plaza located in Bells Corners and bounded on the north by Richmond Rd, the west by Lynhar Rd and the east by Larkspur Dr. The site can be approached through four access locations. The Lynwood Centre has a total of 315 parking stalls.

A parking survey was conducted and evaluation and analysis were undertaken. The analysis activity concentrated on determining parking accumulation, utilization, turnover, and duration-of-stay for each of the individual blocks, areas and total parking supply for the site. According to the survey the supply of parking at Lynwood Centre was underutilized and could therefore be used to accommodate additional land uses.
